Mokena Police announce prostitution arrest

MOKENA, Ill. — The Mokena Police Department has announced the arrest of a 47-year-old woman after an undercover investigation into suspected prostitution at a business in the 9600 block of Willow Lane.

According to a press release, Mokena police and the Will County Sheriff’s Office concluded the investigation at Oriental Pearl Spa on Aug. 4. The owner of the business, Xiurong Peng, 47, of Mokena, was arrested and charged with one count of misdemeanor prostitution. She was released on bond pending a future court date. 

“Law enforcement personnel, operating in an undercover capacity, negotiated an agreed upon act of prostitution in exchange for money,” the release stated. “The Oriental Pearl Spa’s business operations and license have been suspended, pending a future hearing with the Village of Mokena.”
