No injuries in fire that destroyed house in Orland Park

ORLAND PARK, Ill. — No injuries were suffered as a result of a fire that destroyed a home in the 15500 block of 117th Court in Orland Park Sunday, Oct. 4, according to a press release from the Orland Fire Protection District.
According to the news release, the Orland Fire Protection District responded to the call around 11:30 p.m.
“Arriving crews faced heavy fire coming from a one-story frame residential property,” the press release stated. “Fire crews responded quickly [and] advanced a line to extinguish the fire, despite being in a rural, non-hydrant area. Mutual aid was also provided by fire companies from neighboring communities. The fire was quickly brought under control.”
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, according to the release.
